California Dream Act Application Priority Deadline is FRIDAY, MARCH 2!

If you have not done so already it is important to submit the 2018-19 CA Dream Act Application as soon as possible!  The priority filing date is March 2nd.

For 2018-19: you will be asked to provide 2016 income data on the application.

The information provided via the CA Dream Act Application is used solely to determine eligibility for state financial and isn’t shared with any federal government agency nor can it be accessed for immigration enforcement purposes.  The California Student Aid Commission will protect this information to the fullest extent of the law.  See link below for full CSAC News Release.

We want to assure you, California Dream Act is a state law, separate and distinct from the federal DACA program. Regardless of what is happening at the federal level, state financial aid for Dreamers remains legal in California.  A Dreamer student does not need to be DACA-certified to be eligible for a public education or state financial aid.

If you still feel unsure about completing the CA Dream Act Application, do stop by and ask to meet with a financial aid counselor.  Counselors are available on a walk-in basis with no appointment necessary.  Walk-in hours are Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm at the Administration Building, 01, room 212.
